HYHILM Comments:

Bewdley Festival, October 2015

It was a great pleasure to spend time in the company of two of my favourite Antiques Roadshow experts, Hilary Kay and Paul Atterbury, knowledgeable, stylish, enthusiastic and charming.

Throughout the evening they were natural, warm, humorous, professional and apparently enjoying themselves as much as the audience was.

We were told one theory of the success of The Antiques Roadshow is that it appeals to two of the U.K's favourite pastimes:  queuing and hearing bad news.  On Tuesday night we didn't have to queue and we certainly heard no bad news but it was a hugely successful evening and the audience came out relaxed, happy and beaming.

My two favourite experts had done their job well.

Limpsfield Decorative & Fine Arts Society, May 2015

In June 2015 as part of their 40th Anniversary Celebrations, LDFAS were entertained by Hilary Kay and Paul Atterbury with their brilliant and highly amusing show “Have You Had It Long, Madam”.

Nearly 400 people attended the two performances at the Barn Theatre in Oxted. Comments from members of the audience as they left the theatre included such remarks as ‘fantastic’, ‘highly entertaining’, ‘one of the best shows I’ve seen in years’ and ‘they are so professional’. But pride of place goes to the person who exclaimed ‘I didn’t want it to end’!

Laycock Street Theatre, Australia, March 2010

I am writing to say how much The Laycock Street Theatre enjoyed your production here last month. The audience absolutely loved it - they were thrilled to see you and Paul Atterbury in person, and revelled in the insight you gave into the television show, your lives and their own treasures.

Technically it was simple to mount and the tour manager made everything easy for our stage and technical crew.

Do let us know if you intend to bring the show back to Australia next year – we would be keen to talk to you about a return visit to Gosford.

Panthers, Penrith, Australia, March 2010

It was an absolute pleasure to work with you both here at Penrith Panthers on February 20, 2010.

The audience were truly fascinated by you both and they enjoyed all of the "Tales from the Roadshow", the information about peoples treasures, and your own experiences were a real insight to them all.

The set was simple for our techs to erect and pack down, and the tour manager was very professional and easy to work with.

Please contact me for a possible date should you travel to Australia next year.
